About Me
I’m Channie.
I was born in a little village in Guyana and attended the village school which gave me a healthy love of reading and writing. After getting my undergrad degree in Literature and Linguistics in Guyana, I got my Master’s in Linguistics at SUNY Albany.
Now that I’m retired, there is enough time for me to do the things I love — gardening, painting, embroidery and crocheting. And also to put my thoughts down in this blog, to share my views of life with my readers.
Many of my posts relive my experiences, growing up in a developing country, struggling to get an education and teaching.
I hope you enjoy my blog — some serious, some funny :)
Channie
